TINMOUTH COMMUNITY FUNDTown Clerk’s Office INCEPTION, PURPOSE, AND USE: The Tinmouth Community Fund was organized in December, 1999 under the umbrella of the Vermont Community Foundation. The initial funds were provided from the left over contributions received for the Tinmouth Community Center. The purpose of the Tinmouth Community Fund is “TO PROVIDE FUNDING OF NEEDED SERVICES AND FACILITIES FOR THE WELL BEING OF THE CITIZENS OF AND FOR THE SENSE OF COMMUNITY IN THE TOWN OF TINMOUTH.” All contributions to the Fund are tax deductible. Send contributions to the Tinmouth Community Fund and not to the Vermont Community Foundation. It has been the intent of the fund to utilize the interest generated from the principal to fund grants on an annual basis. We, however, reserve the right to invade the principal if appropriate projects exceed our annual granting. Most grants issued in the past have not exceeded $500.00. It has not been the practice to fund grants where money can be acquired elsewhere.
