April 4 Spencer Lewis and Rosemary Phelan a special ‘two-for-one’ concert featuring Vermont’s prolific recording artist Spencer Lewis and Canadian songstress Rosemary Phelan.

Lewis is an acoustic guitar instrumentalist, fiddler/violinist with a 16 CD catalog. His signature sound combines his inimitable cross-flat picking guitar style and the sustained elegance of the violin. Rosemary Phelan’s songs reflect the shifting landscapes of life’s stories with an uncommon depth of practical wisdom and quiet humor.

April 19 (Saturday not Friday) Casey Neill.  Folk musician Casey Neill will perform a live, un-plugged, all acoustic show.  Casey Neill has earned himself a large multi-generational following and a reputation for sharp songwriting and emotive performances. He has created a unique sound fusing country, punk, folk, traditional Irish, and bluegrass, with an indie rock sensibility. Casey Neill is at once, musician , writer, musicologist and student and he does his homework. Live performance may well be the best introduction to Casey…. There's the palpable tension of an audience on the edge of their seats and the release of the transition from jig to reel. These are songs with stories well told. This is what it's all about." - Steve Earle

May 2 Coleman’s Well. Colman's Well is Nils Fredland, Rachel Gordon, and Brendan Taaffe.  Bringing together their love of harmony, they sing an eclectic blend of (mostly) a cappella songs, ranging from the Stanley Brothers and the Sacred Harp to Fiona Apple and Monkey Puzzle (though, admittedly, they lean more towards the front half of that equation).  The three first sang together in Ireland last summer, performing in front of a sold-out crowd in Westport, Co. Mayo and have since gone from strength to strength, pulling from the bluegrass canon, the stark power of shape note music, and contemporary folk to deliver songs with verve and delight.  Reveling in tight and unaccompanied harmony, the trio does bring some instrumentation into play, with Brendan on guitar, mbira and ukulele and Nils on trombone.

Their range is impressive—in their sound, their choice of songs, and in their instrumentation.  Their songs move from soft to sweet to strident, touching the depths of heart and soul along the way.

May 16 Jenni Johnson and her band.   Jenni is a local jazz musician from the Burlington, Vermont area. She is a well-known musician with a powerful, beautiful voice.  Singing jazz, blues and funk has been a central part of Jenni's life since her teen days in New York City, where she was born and raised.  Audiences are mesmerized by her versatile renditions.  She'll have you smiling from your soul, while your feet dance happily to the beat.

"Jenni's rich brand of jazz is the perfect antidote to the northern New England climate--it warms you up on those cold winter nights and cools you out on the hot summer ones.

June 6 Sky Blue Boys

Banjo Dan and Willy, co-founders of the popular bluegrass group Banjo Dan and the

Mid-nite Plowboys, offer up a program of acoustic American music hearkening back to

the days before electric instruments and before the emergence of bluegrass, swing and

honkytonk bands.  Accompanying their songs on guitar, mandolin, banjo, and autoharp,

they include original material along with the old numbers, throwing in a little country

comedy along the way.   A popular segment of the typical Sky Blue Boys show is the simulated old-time early-morning radio broadcast, complete with theme music, ads and dedications.

Banjo Dan and Willy have carved out a unique place in New England’s folk and acoustic music scene, playing old-fashioned music with zest, energy and reverence.  You’d almost think it was 1940….

June 20  The Two Man Gentlemen Band.  -

Free kazoos, impeccably tailored outfits, rowdy sing-alongs, furious banjo strumming, and a set full of quirky, clever, sometimes-naughty original tunes.  That’s The Two Man Gentlemen Band’s formula for a good, old-fashioned musical spectacle.

Playing gloriously retro string music that draws on everything from Dixieland jazz, Vaudevillian swing, ragtime, and rural hokum blues, the gentlemen are slowly making their way around the country, spreading their sunny dispositions and anachronistic gospel of kindness and good humor everywhere they go.” -Jim Reed, Connect Savannah (Savannah, GA)

“One of the most entertaining shows I’ve ever seen and most certainly the funniest!  I was in stitches all

night long!”

–Matt Morelock, WDVX-FM, Knoxville, TN
